We had a great time at the Magnolia Corn Maze! Kids in our group were from ages 6 all the way to 43 years old and everyone enjoyed the experience. A few tips for your trip:
- Check the Magnolia Corn Maze website for scheduling. Closer to Halloween the corn maze is "haunted" at night. Little ones and grown ups (like me) who don't enjoy being scared, would probably prefer going a times it's not scary.
- Also, check the website for the various activities and options for admission. If you are interested in participating in all the activities, it's more economical to purchase the higher admission ticket. Also note that paintball is a separate activity.
- When going in the evening, don't forget the bug spray.
- Riding the hayride at night was fun but quite dusty. Visitors with asthma and/or allergies should be careful with this ride.
Here is the video from our trip. We were not able to take video of the Knockerball game because I didn't want to bust my lip open again while taking video. :) The game is great fun and not having video of it is quite unfortunate, especially the part when Chuck turned me upside down inside the Knockerball. LOL

American Cancer Society Vintage Affair - Mobile, AL
Join in the Fight Against Cancer
American Cancer Society plans Vintage Affair Gala
Guests can experience one of Mobile’s premier philanthropic events as we
join together to save lives and party for a cause. The American Cancer Society (ACS) will
host the Vintage Affair Gala, presented by Lexus of Mobile, on Thursday, September 29 at
the Alabama Cruise Terminal from 6-9pm.
Enjoy an evening filled with exquisite cuisine by Clifton Morrissette, fine wines from Red or White and the exciting sounds of the Crowned Jewelz Band. Sure to thrill are the live and silent auctions which include fabulous trips, estate jewelry and original local art featuring artist Ashley Terrell.
“Overall, 11 million cancer survivors in America will celebrate a birthday this year. The Vintage Affair committee thinks that’s a great reason to support this wonderful event, stated Blair Gewin, ACS Development Manager of Distinguished Events. Cancer is something that touches just about every person in our community, and the event is a great opportunity for all of us to get together to support the fight against this disease.”
Through fundraising events like the Vintage Affair Gala, the ACS continues to save lives and create more birthdays by helping people to get well and stay well, find cures, and fight back against a disease that has taken too many lives. For nearly a century, the American Cancer Society has fought for every birthday threatened by every cancer in every community. Through their efforts the ACS has contributed to a 15 percent decrease in the overall cancer death rate between the early 1990s and 2005. That means they’ve helped avoid about 650,000 cancer deaths and created the potential for more birthday celebrations.
Tickets for the event are $125 and can be purchased online at www.vintageaffairmobile.org or by calling 251.344.9858.
